Integrated Approach : Integration stands for mixing. The present trend is towards integrated or unified approach of the organisation of content within various branches of English, rather than studying separate branches. Now-a-days a number of integrated English teaching projects and programmes are developed. These programmes also embody a wide range of different approaches to integrate English teaching, including process, concept, unit, environment, applied project and patterns. As a part of 10+2 curriculum, the NCERT also developed an integrated English programme for middle classes (VI–VIII).
