Question- How many types of charts are used in teaching ?

Types of Charts : The charts used in teaching of various subjects may be of following types :

(i) Flow Charts : These charts are used to show successive development of an event or fact.

(ii) Pictorial Charts : The charts displaying small pictures are known as pictorial charts. e.g. Development of a story may be shown in this type of charts.

(iii) Picture Charts : In these charts, various pictures are gathered and displayed, such as problem of population, means of transport etc.

(iv) Graphical Charts : Statistical data may be presented in these charts e.g. presentation of increasing population etc.

(v) Graph Charts : These charts are mostly used in physics and geography. These charts are used to display statistics.

(vi) Organisation Charts : In such type of charts, the organisation of an institution like parliament, state etc. are shown.

(vii) Table Charts : In such type of charts, many squares are made to organise the thoughts, ideas and incidents.
