Charts : A chart is a visual teaching learning aid with blending of facts and pictures providing gist of topic. The charts may be used for teaching structures, pronunciations, vocabulary, composition, poetry etc. There are many charts available in market. Students and teacher can also draw or make these charts. Poems can also be written on the charts. A big chart showing the direction and the order of the stroke for writing the letters of the alphabet should permanently hung on the classroom wall. Suitable model paragraphs should also be written on charts to enable students to write parallel paragraphs.

Precautions in using of charts

(i) The theme of one chart should be one.

(ii) Chart should be big enough to be seen even by the last bencher students.

(iii) Written words on the chart should be printed in the bold letters. Their font should be thick.

(iv) The charts should be attractive and effective.

(v) The charts should be used while required.

(vi) As far as possible, the charts should be made by the students under the guidance of teacher. (vii) After display of chart and teaching, the charts may be hung on the walls of classroom or corridor of school campus.

(viii) The content in every chart should be demonstrated carefully so that it could fulfil the objectives.
