(iv) Teaching learning aids. 
(v) Previous knowledge.
(vi) Introduction.     
(vii) Statement of aim.
(viii) Presentation.    
(ix) Comprehensive questions.
(x) Black-board summary. 
(xi) Recapitulation. 
(xii) Assignment.

Salient Points to be kept in Mind in Preparing a Lesson Plan for teaching English

At the time of preparing a lesson plan for teaching English the following salient points of keep in mind :

1. Clearity of Objective : There should be clearity of objectives in a lesson plan. The objectives being clear and well defined will make both the pupils and the teacher active to achieve them.

2. Knowledge of the Subject : The teacher should know his subject for preparing the lesson plan. If teachers have no clearity about their subject, they fail to clearify various facts and events of the lesson. Therefore, pupil teacher should be alert in this regard. They should read the whole lesson plan completely.

3. General knowledge of All Subjects : In addition to the knowledge of his own subject, a pupil teacher should also posses general knowledge of all the subjects, because the knowledge is a complete unit and it cannot be divided into different parts.

4. Knowledge of the principles and strategies of teaching : In order to prepare a lesson plan, the teacher must know the principles, maxims, teaching method techniques.

5. Knowledge of Students Nature : While preparing a lesson plan, the teacher must known the nature of the pupils along with the subject matter.

6. Clearity about previous knowledge : The teacher should remember the previous knowledge of the pupils while preparing the lesson plan, because the new knowledge is on the basis of previous knowledge.

7. Knowledge of class level : The teacher should know the class-level for which he is to prepare the lessson plan.

8. Division of Units : While preparing the lesson plan, the teacher should divide the topic in one or more units. Also, it should be determined which teaching method or strategy will be used.

9. Use of Material aids : While preparing the lesson plan it should be decided at what stop the material aid is to be used and what is to be clearified with that aid.

10. Flexibility : The lesson plan is a slave of the teacher, not the master. Hence, the teacher is price to make changes in the lesson plan in order to create attraction and interest in the lesson.

11. Time Sense : While preparing the lesson plan, the teacher should have time sense.
