A distinction is made between the gender of the boy and the girl child because as the age of the girl child increases, the parents start worrying about them, because the society is still not safe for the girl child. Incidents like rape, splattering, acid throwing are happening with women all over India including the capital of the country, due to which no parent wants a daughter, but if it remains so, then only the mother who gives birth to a man will not exist. Along with the police and administration, the society should also create such a protective environment, so that when the girl child comes out of the house, her parents and guardians can remain free. The role of social participation in creating a protective environment is very important, because we leave all the responsibility on the administration and remain silent on seeing the misbehaviour of women in the street, square, house, road, bus, train, workplace etc. In case of any untoward accident with them, no witnesses even come forward. So, the society has to bring a change in this attitude. How many girls are there who are victims of exploitation from the boundary wall of their house and their own families. If any one of them raises his voice by showing courage, then his voice is suppressed in the name of shame, shame and respect, so the society should bring a change in its attitude. The Nirbhaya incident that took place in Delhi shows the silence of both the society and the administration towards the girl child, due to which the whole country and the girls were left in awe. In this way, due to the creation of a protective environment at home and outside, girls will do their studies and employment fearlessly and by moving forward they will become self-reliant, so that they will be able to come into the main stream at par with men.
