Question- Why it is necessary to establish separate vocational schools for girls.

Answer -

To make girls self-reliant and to influence their existence in the male dominated Indian society, arrangements should be made for their vocational education. Improvement in the condition of the girl child cannot be brought only by literacy, but for their self-reliance, employment-oriented, vocational courses should be arranged, in which special attention should be paid to their needs and aptitudes. To fulfil this need, residential vocational schools should be established separately for women. Economic self-reliance plays a major role in ending gender discrimination between women and men and this can be possible only through vocational education. Even today in the top positions, adjacent and financially prosperous women stand parallel to men. It is a matter of regret that in the technical field, the number of girls per 100 boys is still only 24.3 percent. Therefore, gender discrimination can be reduced by efforts in this direction.
