Question- Explain the according individual difference in the classroom.
Answer-
If we see in the present time, it is not possible to make separate education system for different class of children. On the basis of individual difference in such a situation teacher can correctly explain the student, studying together in class, on the basis of their individual differences. How should the class be arrange keeping in view the individual difference ? How to teach student together and how to treat them ? It is necessary consider separately in this context, which is presented as follows :
On the basis of physical variation, some student in each class are short, some are tall. Short students should be placed at the front of the class, normal students in the middle and tall students at the back of the class. If there are some students in the class who have low vision or hearing loss, then they should sit in the front of the board. Similarly if there are some handicapped students in the class, they should be made to sit on the seats near the entrance. They should be treated with love, sympathy and cooperation but they should not feel in any way that they deserve mercy, otherwise they will feel inferiority complex which will hinder their personality development.
Teachers should identify the intelligence of the students from the very beginning. Every student has different level of intelligence some become brilliant, some normal or low. Which student is low academic achievements, which is of average academic achievement and which is of higher academic achievements.
There is also a lot of difference among the students from the emotional point of view, like students with shy nature, students with restleness students who are anxious, who are fearful, dealing with all these difficult tasks. With all these types of students should be treated with dominace but at the same time with love, sympathy and cooperation.
There is also a lot of difference among students from social point of view, some students prefer to be in solitude, some self to be open with each other and some to enjoy themselves in their own world. This variation can be reduced through group learning & group work.
According to the above discussion, it can be said that it is a difficult task to do teaching training work on the base of individual differences in the class and to treat all the students with a friendly manner, but it is not impossible. Therefore the first remedy for this is that personality differences should be respected and the second way is to behave with love, cooperation and sympathy.
