Education is given only in schools and colleges, but apart from schools and colleges, there are many other means of imparting education. The society has adopted and developed various institutions for the implementation of education since ancient times. These institutions are called the means of education.

According to Raymont's statement, "the teacher not only gives education, only schools and colleges are not educational institutions, but there are many such institutions whose effect is educational."
By the way, according to the literal meaning, the word means is the Hindi version of the English word Agency. Agency means the work of 'agent' which means that element, medium, thing, or person who performs or influences any work. Means of education means that object, place, element, or institution which imparts education to the child i.e., has educational effect on him. In the words of Sir Godfrey Thomson, the whole environment is the means of education of the individual, but in this environment some elements like home, school, church, press, business, public life, means of enjoyment have special importance.
