Process of Structural Approach :- The structural approach takes each object separately to teach. The teacher presents an object and creates situations with its help. He leads the speech and follows it up with the student's speech. After this, he presents the object in a new situation with the intention of building up of vocabulary and speech practice of the students. The group drill is achieved at the end.

The selection of structures for various stages of school teaching depends on the difficulty level of the structures. The structures which can be easily demonstrated in the classroom should be included at the lower levels, while those dealing with abstractness should find place in higher classes. It should be remembered that the structures can be learnt by the students by their own cooperation and participation. So we can conclude that the structural approach is the foundation upon which the study of English teaching should develop.
