Question- How does CCE help in assessment in co-scholastic areas?

As already stated before, CCE aims at the holistic development of the students which includes assessment in co-scholastic areas such as life skills, attitudes and values, sports and games as well as other co-curricular activities. CCE has tried to bridge the gap between scholastic and co-scholastic areas. CCE has brought about a paradigm shift from examination to effective pedagogy. NCF (2005), while proposing examination reforms also stated - Indeed, Boards should consider as a long-term measure, making the class X examination optional, thus permitting students continuing in the same school (and who do not need a board certificate) to take an internal school exam instead. CCE thus works to enhance the quality of teaching-learning process in the school. The idea behind is to help the students use these competencies in real life situations.
