Essentials for an Effective Listening

1. Positive Attitude of Listener: For effective listening positive attitude of listener is essential. If listener shows negative attitude in listening process, object of listening cannot be met.

2. Ability to concentrate: It is required to effective listening that listener have should be ability to concentrate himself. If student has lack of determination, he will not concentrate himself. If listener is concentrate in listening process, he can minimize errors in learner.

3. Conductive Body Posture: If body posture of listener is adverse, he cannot understand the concept of the topic.

4. Enter into Question Answer Session: Listener should enter into question answer session if concentration of mind start to disturbance. When listener puts up question, teacher sees, towards listener and give answer.

Following things should also be kept in view:

(i) Concentrate himself on teacher's words;
(ii) Do not get distracted; (iii) Take notes;
(iv) Have positive attitude; (v) Keep recalling.
