Educational Importance of Films :- Films become a very useful instrument of instruction in the hands of an intelligent and resourceful teacher. They appeal to the eye, ear and emotions. As such these films make a powerful appeal to the students, heighten their interest and help them in the retention of the learned material. The films have following educational importance :–

(i) They encourage the students for self-study.

(ii) With them, the students are given opportunities for discussion.

(iii) They help in introducing new topics.

(iv) These are an important means to educate the dull students.

(v) The students are inspired to learn with films.

(vi) They develop the learning power of the students.

(vii) They expand the field of student’s experiences.

(viii) The students are entertained as well as educated with the use of them.
