English as an International Language :- English is one of the major languages of the world. It is one of the most widely used language of the world's half a dozen leading languages. English is the language of international politics, trade, commerce and industry. It is the only language through that one can establish social, cultural, political, economical and industrial relations with the countries of the world. It is only English through which we can communicate our opinion in the affairs of the world. English is major trade-link with the countries of the world. Without the knowledge of English language, Indian international relation would paralise. Everything of importance which happens day by day is printed in English in print media or spoken in English over television and radio all over the world. 50 percent of the world’s newspapers, over 50 percent of the world’s scientific and technical periodicals and more than 60 percent of the world’s communication centres use English as medium of communication.

The above facts point out that English is an international language.
