Teaching Objectives :- Teaching objectives are specific objectives that are related to the actual classroom teaching. These are immediate aims and can be achieved within the four walls of a classrooms. The teaching objectives are achieved in terms of change of behaviour of the learner; hence they are direct, specific and practical in nature; and thus are most useful for the teacher.
B.S. Bloom classified the teaching objectives into three categories :—
• Cognitive Objectives.
• Affective Objectives.
• Psychomotor Objectives.
According to Bloom, the change of behaviour is effected in the three realms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Bloom has produced an important classification or taxonomy of teaching objectives. According to this taxonomy, teaching objectives have been divided into six categories further.
