Question- How is a diagnostic test to be administered?

Diagnostic test is completely different from an achievement test. In an achievement test, where sampling of questions is not so exhaustive to cover each and every learning point like in diagnostic test where each learning point has several items and each cluster of such items forms a subset. Thus, while holding or administering a diagnostic test, following points are to be kept into mind :
(a) Such test are to be administered in a relaxed environment.
(b) Students should be seated comfortably.
(c) Students should not consult each other during the test.
(d) If a student is not able to follow something, he should be allowed to seek clarification from the teacher.
(e) Time schedule should not be enforced strictly.
(f) The teacher may ensure that the student's attempt all questions.
