बीएड सेमेस्टर-2 अंग्रेजी शिक्षण - सरल प्रश्नोत्तर
Question- Do you think the grading system is beneficial to the students?
Ans.
The grading system in India is often a topic of discussion. As far as its advantages and disadvantages go this grading system minimizes classification of students on the basis of marks. The students are not made to feel inferior based on the marks scored. Thus, it helps to eliminate unhealthy competition among high achievers. It thus, reduces societal pressure and provides the learner with more flexibility. The students do not feel the immense pressure which is so often created in the case of students who are not awarded the grades but marks under the conventional marking system. Cases of suicide peer pressure etc. are minimized. Thus, it can be said grading system is beneficial to the students in a way.
On the other hand with the grading system in practice the zeal and the desire to compete is reduced. Students become quite complient and are often satisfied with the grades awarded. They will to focus and concentrate more on studies is reduced. Therefore it can be said that the grading system may not be beneficial in this regard. It is thus advisable that the students are brought under a system where the good points of the grading system and the conventional marking system are all considered under one umbrella.
