The most important reason to introduce it was to ease the examination related pressure from the students. The students are made aware of their weaknesses and strengths. The child’s capabilities are better assessed and the parents find a potential tool to help their child become better at studies. It ensures uniformity across schools and colleges both in India and abroad. Moreover, the grading system helps the students to become better versions of themselves.
