The process of learning becomes dull and monotonous, if the students do not feel any attraction for learning change always yields life. However, for making english teaching more effective and interesting the teacher used different types of Audio-visual Aids in teaching process.

Audio-visual aids are concerned with both sense of hearing and sense of sight. They consist of Projectors, Cinema, Television, Video and Computer.

Computer

Computers play an important role in almost every walk of life in modern time. It has also been used as modern audio-visual aid. When we see that computers are being used extensively everywhere. Modern times is known as computer age, on account of its importance and utility. It is used in two ways in teaching. Thus we can see two types of education, being given through its medium.

1. It is helpful in teaching individually as well as in group teaching.

2. The students get information about the results immediately by its use.

3. It is helpful in focusing the attention of students towards it.

4. Individual differences are seen in students, by teaching with the help of computer students having different abilities also go ahead with their pace.

5. In group teaching students give response by their own pace.
