Cultural Importance :- English spreads one’s cultural horizon. Almost all our great leaders, famous scientists, renowned philosophers and well known authors are the product of English education. English has always been a source of development in all the spheres of human activity. It correlates knowledge of foreign languages and cultures. It further helps to develop mutual understanding and co-operation.

Thus, we can conclude that teaching of English in India has great importance. It is a link between past and future, east and west, experience and hope etc. Thus teaching of English should be encouraged at junior high schools and secondary education levels.
