There are several G2C initiatives in India:

1. Computerization of Records of Land : Computerization of land records is done in collaboration with NIC. Computerization of land records ensure that landowners get computerized copies of ownership, crop and tenancy and updated copies of Records of Rights whenever they require.

2. Bhoomi Project : Bhoomi Project offers online delivery of land records. Bhoomi project is the e-governance project for the computerized delivery of 20 million rural land records to 6.7 million farmers through 177 Government-owned kiosks. Bhoomi project is implemated in the state of Karnataka.

3. Gyandoot : Gyandoot is a intranet-based government to citizen service delivery initiative. It was initiated with the twin objective of providing relevant information to the rural population and acting as an interface between the district administration and the people. Gyandoot project was initiated in January 2000 by a committed group of civil servants in consultation with gram panchayats in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. It is a low cost, self-sustainable, and community-owned rural Intranet system that caters to the specific needs of village communities. Some centers have been established and are managed by rural. Youth gyandoot is in implementation in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

4. Lokvani Project : It is implemented in Uttar Pradesh. Lokvani Project is to provide a single window, self-sustainable e-Governance solution with regard to handing of grievances, land record maintenance and providing some essential services. Lokvanis is a PPP project at Sitapur District in Uttar Pradesh. It was initiated in November, 2004.

5. FRIENDS Project : FRIENDS (Fast, Reliable, Instant, Efficient Network for the Disbursement of Services) is a Single Window Facility providing citizens the means to pay taxes and other financial dues to the State Goyernment. The services are provided through FRIENDS Jansevana Kendrams located in the district headquarters.

6. E-Mitra Project : It is in implementation in Rajasthan. E-mitra is the first of its own kind of Electronic service in Rajasthan. Lok Mitra aims to deploy Information Technology for the benefit of the masses. This has provided relief to the common man as he gets efficient services through IT driven interfaces at a single window. It is an e-governance project in which the computer server is linked to different departmental servers through Dedicated Leased Line & Dialup Network..

7. E-Seva Project : This Project is implemented in Andhra Pradesh. E-Seva Project is to provide 'Government to Citizen' and 'e-Business to Citizen' services. The highlight of this project is that all the services are delivered online to consumers by connecting them to the respective departments and providing online information.

8. DRISHTEE : Connecting India Village by Village DRISHTEE is implemented in the state of Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Odisha.

DRISHTEE aims to be 'window to the world' for Indian villagers. The services provide financial benefits and other social benefits like access to education, health information and employment opportunities for rural youths. It is an organizational platform for developing IT enabled services to rural and semi-urban people through the usage of state-of-the-art software. Drishtee is capable of enabling the creation of information Kiosks all over India. If facilitates communication and information interchange within a localized internet between villages and a district center. This communication backbone has been supplemented by a string of rural services for example, Land Records, Gram Daak (mailing software), Gram Haat (virtual market place), Vaivahiki (Matrimonial), Shikayat (online grievance redressal), Mandi Information System and a host of other customized services. DRISHTEE enables e-governance and provides information about and access to education and health services, market-related information and private information exchanges and transactions. It offers its network platform to any service provider who wishes to market its range of services to rural India.

9. eCops Project (e-Computerization Operations for Police Services) : It is implemented in Andhra Pradesh. eCops Project leads to online interaction with the police department over the Internet. The central Oracle database of crime records is hosted at the DGP's office in Hyderabad. This database records information such as FIR crime detail form, arrest / court surrender charge sheet etc. It helps police stations reduce paperwork and automate the maintenance of registers, report generation, data analysis, planning and coordination, enable the speedy detection of crime and monitor prosecutions.

10. e-Suvidha Project : e-Suvidha Project is in implementation in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Every citizen spends a lot of time and energy in commuting from one place to another for meeting his desired ends. he has to go to a railway station for buying tickets; electricity office for paying bills; BSNL office for paying telephone bills; Jal Sansthan for paying water tax and sewer tax; collectorate for receiving caste and income certificates; Nagar Nigam paying house tax and to get birth/death certificates; Development Authority for applying for a housing project and the list goes on and on. e- Suvidha Project saves time and money.

11. MUDRA Project : MUDRA Project is in implementation in the state of Bihar. The main objectives of this project include improving the quality of service being offered to the citizens and at the same time, it will also become possible for the first time to track all kinds of defaulters on payment of taxes due, MUDRA project assists the Municipal Corporation in acting quickly and well in time. The Projcet is to computerize the over all functions of tax collection system of Patna Municipal Corporation. Revenue management is the key to economic stability and development of urban infrastructure. In order to discharge its functions properly and cater to the requirements of economic development, the Municipal Corporation and its Municipalities have to generate adequate resources.

12. Koshvani Project : Koshvani Project is implemented in the state of Uttar Pradesh to help Finance Department and Financial Controllers of departments in monitoring financial transactions. Koshvani website has been developed to keep a check on the financial health of the State of Uttar Pradesh and to bring transparency into Government Transaction.

13. FAST Project : FAST Project is implemented in the state of Andhra Pradesh to provide FAST (Fully Automated Services of Transport). The objective of FAST is to make the transport department citizen friendly to build compreshensive database and provide on-line services to the public covering the entire gamut of services of Transport Department.

14. SETU Project : It is implemented in Maharashtra. SETU Project provide the possibility of making routine interaction faster, smoother and transparent. There are multiple points of interaction between the citizen and individual departments spread over so many different Government offices. SETU is to work on the very basic needs of the citizens and re-orienting administrative processes to create foundation for citizen centric e-governance, at district headquarters and subsequently at taluka headquarters. It provides a bridge for facilitation between citizen and government facilitating the benefits of IT for effective and transparent functioning of the administration is one of core focus areas of the IT policy of the State government of Maharashtra.
