Concept of masculinity and femininity in social structure : When women started thinking about their social role, the women movement started from there. In the women’s discourse movement, on the one hand, attempts were made to bring forth the role of women and their social, political participation was accepted, while the women’s discourse tried to bring the status of women in the centre of debate. In which on the one hand their low status in the society was told, on the other hand the issues related to them were kept in the centre through debate. Questions like liberty, equality and identity were raised in the centre. The question of gender emerges from within the question of identity, which raises the question of looking at women from the point of view of women, raising questions on the social structure of men and women, and demands debate in the society. Gender is related to identity on the one hand, and on the other hand it is related to the process of social development where a distinction was made between human and human and one was given the name of man and one as woman. Before knowing about gender in detail, some discussion should be done. In simple words, it is an information that passes through the path of knowledge and gives us a perspective to think and understand. The word discourse in Hindi is derived from the word “discourse” of the English language and the word discourse is derived from the Latin word discourse, which means debate, dialogue, conversation and exchange of ideas. To know a little more about discourse. If an attempt is made to express ideas in a direct and simple form through language, it is called discourse. In the Oxford Dictionary, the expression of ideas and conversation in written and oral form should be done for the rise of a large number of certified vocabulary and class etc. Ideological brainstorming According to Phook’s opinion, discussion is a system of words and ideas. The concept of understanding the power relationship of masculinity and feminism - is naturally systematically constructed through thought, practice that we use during conversation.
Henry and Carroll Tatar “Discourse is a language that uncovers the historical meaning of a subject on a social basis. It is a language of social identity, which is never neutral because it is linked to the individual and to the social.”
Thus, discourse is a way of thinking, debating, and oral communication in the social, historical and today’s context, which is expressed through language. The question of gender also adopts this technique of discourse and calls for an open debate on gender.
Process of masculinity and femininity in social structure : The word gender has been related to gender i.e., feminine and masculine in the language in the province. The use of feminine, masculine and neuter gender is found in the West, the basis of the division of the third neutral gender was to have an independent identity separate from the qualities prescribed in the society of femininity and masculinity, whereas in Sanskrit, the third gender meant femininity and masculine qualities. In the context of the use of the word’s femininity and masculinity, Aristotle said that the Greek thinker “Protogorous” used the words femininity, masculinity and neutral in the language with reference to the classification of nouns. This gender division process in language was practical. According to Charles Hockett, “The classification of nouns on the basis of the behaviour of words is called division of gender.”
Before the social context called gender, gender was related to language, which is still there, now if we try to look at it in social contexts, then gender is related to gender. It can be said that even today, gender is considered to be gender. Just as the social behaviour of the language was used for the classification of words and they were divided into feminine, masculine and neutral gender. In the same way in the social structure “Sex” was moulded into defined roles of man and woman under the social process. Both man and woman are biological structures. It is true that it cannot be changed but its family, social, economic and political roles are determined. So, their own independent existence is questioned. Gender is a fundamental component of identity which tells us the dramatic role of gender identity in defining defined boundaries and worldview. It does not tell the difference but also defines its relation with the social, political and economic level of power. The relation of gender and gender with the noun does not tell only in today’s context, but in history also sees the role of woman in relation to it. Makes sense while doing it. Where there is division of man and woman not on biological basis but by society and on norms, in which the role of woman has been exploited and the role of man has been that of exploiter.
