The child starts going to school at the age of 5 or 6. After home, school is the place where the child spends his more time. The home environment is natural for the child and when he starts going to school, it becomes a new place for him. Child takes some time to get engrossed in the school environment. It is the responsibility of the school teachers to help the child to settle down in the school environment. The place of a teacher is considered higher than God in our place. It is the duty of the teachers in the school to inculcate those values in the child by which his mental health is developed. The teacher should ensure that the child will get a home - like environment in the classroom and schools as the care, love and security he gets at home will get in school too. Children should be encouraged for their good work, good behaviour and their good work should be praised. This instills confidence in the child. If the child has committed any kind of error, the child can not be punished. It should be explained with love and a psychological way. The environment where teachers and classmates all become unfamiliar to him, so the child afraids of them. Therefore, the teacher should treat the child with love so that the child gets mix with everyone soon.

If the child does not get love, care and support in the school, then he will avoid coming to the school. The child resorts to lies to escape punishment. Otherwise bad tendencies are born in him. Therefore the child should not be punished. Many types of parents come to the school so there comes all kinds of children beautiful, poor or retarded. Teacher should not be ridiculed if the child is poor or unattractive or of low intelligence, but efforts should be made to bring out his qualities. Due to this all the children wish to make them their friends, otherwise there takes place an inferiority complex in the children. The teacher should treat every child fairly.
