Importance of Personality Traits : Personality is measured on the basis of qualities. Every person has something to merit and demerit. These qualities are related to each other and form personality. There are also some qualities that take a permanent form and there are some qualities that may be present and disappear depending on the circumstance, such as the quality of fear or anxiety. Mostly it has been seen that the qualities that you find in a person can have many meanings, not just one meaning. For Ex. – a smile face can be a symbol of one’s natural qualities or to impress another or it could be a method of fasting.

The complete form of personality is formed by the co-ordination of various qualities. The personality of a person is determined by looking at his qualities. Like in some terrible situation one person properly handles and another gives serious thought to it.

The reason of the difference in their personalities is that, they are differences in the quality of emotional stability. The behaviour of a person is different in each situation. He reveals his qualities according to the circumstances.

Characteristics of personality describe many forms of human behaviour.

According to Psychologist Cattle : There are certain acquired qualities of personality its 3 aspects are – cognitive, temperamental traits, affective. Cattle describe the 4 characteristics of many personality.

1. Unique Traits : These qualities are seen in special individuals such as temperamental qualities.
2. Source Traits : It reveals the inner nature of the individual and the internal source are evident from conduct behaviour such as emotional.
3. Common Traits : It is also found under which human group such as honesty.
4. Objective Traits : This behaviour is visible in the display outside like curious sociality etc.

Practical Aspects of Personality

According to Psychologist Thorndike : The following aspects of personality traits or quality can be understood from a practical point of view.

(1) Temperament,
(2) Behaviour
(3) Aptitude,
(4) Social cohesion
(5) Ability.
