  • Question- Explain one message of various religions with examples.

    Ans.

  • In the words of Yogi Sri Aurobindo, “Religion is that instinct, Idea, activity, discipline in man which aims directly at the divine, while all the rest seem to aim at it only indirectly and reach it with difficulty after much wandering and stumbling in the pursuit of outward-and-imperfect appearances of things.”

  • A Message of Religion

    (3) Every great religion lays the stress on self control, self sacrifice, non-violence, truth and the laws of purity.
Example : Some of the religions as Jainism and Buddhism highly preached for non-violence and laws of purity.

    (4) Despite differences of prayer, places of worship, mode of worship and religious texts, every religion holds the worshipper’s piety, truth and devotion above every other quality.
Example : Every religion has a philosophy part and a code of ritual, the philosophical part is more important then rituals.

    (5) Every religion advocates that one should be tolerant every other religion.
Example : Co-existence is an essential part of every religion.

    (6) The object of every religion is to increase a feeling of brotherhood in order to have peace on earth and to bring on earth the kingdom of heaven.
Example : Universal brotherhood is at the top of every religion.

    (7) All religions have equally contributed to the unity, peace, hope and happiness of human society.
Example : All religions show a path for divine joy and for ultimate peace.

The followers of religion are attributed great social respect in all societies. This is because religions are in favour of establishing and maintaining just order in the society.
